12 years Behind Bars For Sexual Offender

Former club manager and sexual predator, Ronald Ngwenya has been slapped with a 12year jail sentence after being found guilty of  aggravated indecent assault by Harare magistrate, Fadzai Mthombeni.

Ngwenya was earlier acquitted of two rape counts of his 13-year/old niece  after a full trial but unfortunately for him, he still could not escape the long arm of the law.

According to the State outline, on December 9 2022, at around 1am, the girl woke up at round midnight and found Ngwenya fondling her private parts and he covered her mouth with his hand to muzzle her screams. It is said he later on proceeded to rape her.

He is said to have left the girl’s room, and returned later, and found her at the door going to the toilet. He allegedly dragged her back into the room and raped her on her bed once again. The girl reported the matter to the maid who went on to escalate the matter, leading to his ultimate arrest.
