Our #SunshinePersonality is Rebecca Manford, a Zimbabwean Chartered Accountant, Multi Award-winning Business Executive, Gospel musician, Pan-African Speaker and philanthropist.
Manford has been labelled a ‘triple threat’ by many publications for being diverse and multi-talented. Manford was born on 31 May 1988 and is the Manfords second daughter.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Africa, majoring in Accounting and Auditing. She furthered her studies to gain the professional qualification with the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).
She has stated that she believes in continued personal development so even after the above she has gone on to pursue other certificates and training as well as a Master’s in Business Administration. Manford is a registered Public Accountant in Zimbabwe and serves as Public Officer on official/legal matters. She is also a registered Commissioner of Oaths.
Over the years, she has worked for various large organisations in Zimbabwe and has risen in rank as the years have gone by. She is currently the Chief Finance Officer at a large tobacco conglomerate.
She said she started right from being a clerk and has over the years moved from being a clerk to Supervisor, Manager and now the position of Chief Finance Officer.
“I love what I do and its versatility over the years as I have been involved and have acquired strong skills in Auditing, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Logistics, Operations, Procurement, Human Resources and Administration”.
Manford is also a Board Member in her current position and other organizations.
Manford is a most sought-after speaker and has had the privilege of being invited to speak at various events and to participate on different panels and platforms. She is often on Pan-African platforms as well as important platforms that steer financial and economic matters alongside many powerful and famous individuals.
She also finds herself speaking on career experiences as a female in the corporate world and on many issues concerning the girl child which she has explicitly in the past stated to be passionate about.
Her personal experiences have also sparked the interest of many people and she is often called to speak on platforms relating to women, marriage and a wide range of other life topics such as grooming and etiquette. She serves as mentor to many young people. Manford has appeared on television and various tv stations over the years.

Recently, she was once again listed as one of the winners at the ‘40 under 40 business leaders in Zimbabwe awards’ 2023 organised by the Institute of Corporate Directors Zimbabwe.
