Even Our Dreams Director, Nyari Mashayamombe Graces Star FM

Women’s rights activist Nyari Mashayamombe graced one of Zimbabwe’s leading radio broadcaster, Star FM last night to promote her upcoming film,  #Even Our Dreams as well as tackle issues pertaining to the upcoming #16DaysOfActivismAgainstGenderBasedViolence.

The film is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, the 10th of December at the elite Sterkinekor Theaters in Borrowdale. DJ Ollah 7 walked through the upcoming film with Identities Media Founder and Director of the film, Nyari on his popular and loved talk show, ‘On The Spot’.

Speaking to Ollah, Nyari said the world has become so cruel and chauvinistic that victims of sexual violence and abuse are either nolonger believed or blamed for the act.

“We are shying away from the harsh reality we are living with on a daily basis. Let us stop treating male perpetrators who rape and sexually assault our women and children as victims, they are NOT!”, she said.

Even Our Dreams is Nyari’s first film production and she says the goal is to make more compelling stories about vulnerable people in society.
