14 Year Old Memory Machaya’s Death Takes New Turn As The Marange Church Denies Secretly Burying Her

The death of Memory Machayas has taken a new twist as the Johanne Marange Apostolic Church denies burying the teenager at their shrine.

According to Memory’s family, she was immediately buried at the church’s Mafararikwa Shrine in Marange soon after her tragic death.

The Johanne Marange Apostolic Church however claims she was never buried there. According to the Manica Post, the church’s coordinator and spokesperson, Nyasha Marange, denied claims that Memory was buried at the Mafararikwa Shrine when she died.

“There is no graveyard at our shrine. If a congregant dies during our gatherings, arrangements are made to ferry that person’s body to their place of origin. The shrine is only used for gatherings and Memory’s body was not buried in the shrine as alleged”,he said.

Nyasha Marange argued that their church doesn’t have a secret graveyard at the shrine as this is against the country’s laws but went on to refuse to shed any light on Memory’s final resting place.

The family still insists Memory was buried at the shrine and believes this is just a cover-up by the church to evade arrest.

Memory’s death caused a nationwide uproar amid a delay by authorities to investigate the matter and relevant authorities have since been implored to thoroughly investigate Memory’s mysterious death.
