In a welcome development, South African based film agency, Becky Casting Agency has announced a stellar cast for The Bad Bishop movie which is scheduled to be shot in Limpopo, South Africa from September 1 to October 1.
The agency has fused actors from across Southern Africa though the majority was largely drawn from South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Becky Casting Agency public relations manager, Mthabisi Tshuma said they have given a chance to upcoming actors and cameo roles include Zimbabwean art sensations Madam Boss, Sandra Ndebele, Lorraine Guyo, Madlela Skhobokhobo, Calvin Madula and Nigel The Slick Pastor.
He said they are also in the process of auditioning actors for other cameo roles and the target is mostly on upcoming actors who want to make a breakthrough.
Announcing the news, Becky Casting Agency wrote: “Guys, help me to congratulate this amazing and talented lady. She has been cast to feature on SABC 1s new telenovela, uBettina Wethu as Aminata.”
Madam Boss thanked Becky Casting Agency and her husband, Ngoni Munetsiwa for believing and supporting her.
She went on to plead with the agency to also assist fellow Zimbabwean actors so that they get acting roles in the neighbouring country. She wrote on her Facebook page:
“Thank you Becky Casting Agency. Please assist my fellow actors and actresses here in Zimbabwe, please Becky I beg, this is big.”
