Anti-Sanctions Gala Leaves Zimbabweans Confused

The anti sanctions gala which was held yesterday at Chitungwiza’s Aquatic Complex has left many Zimbabweans on social media less than pleased and confused.

October 25 was declared Africas anti sanctions campaign day and Zimbabwe did not disappoint in commemorating the day. The anti sanction gala had a Stella line up of musicians, namely Minister Michael Mahendere, Freeman, Killer T and Sulumani Chimbetu only but to name a few. However the impact and relevance of the gala has been questioned by many.

Social media is awash with comments as people probe the government on how these galas change anything in the country’s dire economical situation.

Instead citizens argued that it is the Zimbabwean government that needs to be pressurized and held to account in order to observe democratic rights and human norms.
