Breaking: The High court Dismisses Police Application on Dr Magombeyi.

Justice George Chiweshe has dismissed the urgent chamber application by the Police seeking the correction of an earlier Order of court interdicting them from preventing the release of Dr Magombeyi to proceed to SA for medical care.

The matter which has been set down on an urgent basis was dismissed leaving the police to be forced to release him for medical travel.

During the state briefing on Dr Magombeyi, the government reiterated that they were holding him to ensure his safety, as well as ensure that the processes the police are carrying out on his abduction may proceed smoothly.

The government sited that the tests that were carried out by the government are expected out in a few hours then Dr Magombeyi will be free to travel. This is amidst the statement that the government is not holding him against his will.

There has been an outcry for the government to respect the rule of law, this for the police to repack the high court ruling that they should not keep holding Dr Magombeyi at the hospital he is at but rather to release him per his wishes to travel to South African for medical attention.

The medical tests for Dr Magombeyi since his abductions have not yet been released to the public, and there are conflicting reports over whether or not he was harmed and whether he is in pain.
