One person died at the spot, while two others escaped death by a whisker this morning when a red Mercedes Benz cut a truck they were traveling in at White House, in Kuwadzana Harare, along Bulawayo road.
The truck that was carrying Seed Co maize was heading for delivery from Chegutu towards Harare while the red Mercedes Benz coming from Grenary entered the intersection causing the truck to over turn and fall.
One person is reported to have died on the spot, while the driver and the other passenger survived.
It is reported that the Mercedes Benz that caused the accident stopped as soon as the accident occurred, however took off when it realized that the truck had over turned.
The deceased man’s age has not yet been confirmed.
One witness who was on the spot when the accident occurred said that, “The truck driver was on his lane, but the red Mercedes Benz driver entered the intersection before him causing the accident. The driver lost control of the vehicle hence the accident.”
The police were on the scene during this report but could not comment.
