Mugabe’s Body Expected in Harare Wednesday

The body of the late former President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe is expected to land in Zimbabwe on Wednesday next week. Mugabe died in Singapore in the early hours of friday at the age of 95.

He has since been declared a national hero by the politiburo as was announced by President Mnangagwa.

According to the family Spokes Person his nephew Leo Mugabe; “In Singapore, they are preparing the body. The plane that will bring the body will leave Zimbabwe on Monday and we are choosing people that are going. The timing is more like Wednesday when the body will arrive in Zimbabwe,” he said.

In pictures circulating on social media, relatives can be seen entering the Singapore Hospitals with flowers for the late Mugabe.

Meanwhile, President Mnangagwa declared a national mourning period till Mugabe is buried. What is not clear in this statement is what Mnangagwa meant about this period. The nation isn’t sure whether people will be going to work during this national mourning or they stay st home till he is buried.
