Shock & Heartbreak | Identities Media Mourns Linda Tsungirirai Masarira

Identities Media has received with deep shock and sorrow the news of the passing on of politician and activist Linda Tsungirirai Masarira, a woman whose voice, intellect, courage, and deep passion for Zimbabwe left a mark on many national conversations.

Speaking following the news, Identities Media founder Adv. Nyari Mashayamombe expressed deep shock citing that they were finalizing an interview on CAB3.

“Haa veduwe, please tell me this is all a joke. Just this weekend our editors at Identities Media were finalizing our interview with Linda on #CAB3 so that we could share her opinions on the Constitutional Amendment Bill. She was also part of our upcoming film #Section56 on women’s leadership and participation. Linda loved this country deeply, she was intelligent, fearless, opinionated, and deeply passionate about Zimbabwe.”

Masarira was one of the voices Identities Media frequently engaged on difficult national conversations because of her willingness to speak boldly and critically, regardless of political comfort or pressure. Her recent conversations with the platform reflected her strong convictions around governance, constitutionalism, and citizen participation.
