Beitbridge Man Arrested for Alleged Indecent Assault of Student.

In Beitbridge, a 51-year-old man has been arrested on allegations of indecently assaulting a 17-year-old girl he was responsible for transporting to school as part of his daily duties. The accused is expected to appear before the Beitbridge Regional Court this week.

The complainant and the accused are reported to be neighbors, living in a government housing complex. It is understood that the man would regularly ferry children to nearby schools every morning. On Tuesday, after dropping off primary school students around 6:45 am, he was left alone with the secondary school student.

Allegations state that the man drove past the girl’s school, pressing her head between her legs. He then took her to an isolated location, where he allegedly inserted his fingers into her private parts, only to discover she was menstruating. The girl managed to fight off the man, sustaining injuries to her mouth and having her blouse buttons torn off in the process.

After the incident, the girl reported the ordeal to her mother, leading to the arrest of the accused. The case has sparked outrage in the community, with authorities promising to hold the perpetrator accountable for the alleged actions.
