Chitungwiza Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Friend Who Provided Overnight Accommodation.

According to allegations, on July 5th, a Chitungwiza man named Crage Chinozwa (52) allegedly sodomized his friend after offering him accommodation for the night.

It is alleged that Chinozwa asked his friend, who resides in Mabvuku, for a place to stay since it was late for him to travel back to his own residence. The complainant agreed to accommodate Chinozwa, and they shared the same bed.

The court heard that when the complainant woke up in the morning, he realized that Chinozwa had ejaculated on him during the night. Allegedly, when the complainant confronted Chinozwa about what had happened, Chinozwa told him that he had performed oral sex on him while he was asleep.

The complainant then reported the incident to the Mabvuku police station, leading to Chinozwa’s arrest. Chinozwa was remanded in custody until July 16th by Harare magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa.

Prosecutor Anesu Chirenje is alleging that Chinozwa committed these acts against his friend without the friend’s consent. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the court will determine the validity of the allegations during the upcoming proceedings.
